Before your product is finally ready, there’s a number of things you need to test for. And it’s not just about shelf-life and food safety.

Essentially, testing for food and drink products is about two things – making sure that what should be there is present at the right level, and ensuring that things that shouldn’t be in your product aren’t in your product.

  • Is the nutritional profile correct, even after you’ve adjusted the recipe?
  • Have you delivered the right level of the specific component for your product’s claims?
  • Some ingredients can be prone to introducing contaminants, is your product clear?
  • Are foreign bodies present in the product?
  • Creating a product specification and testing schedule so you can risk assess and prioritise
